The Fresh Wave Short Film Competition was conceived by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council in 2005 as a platform to unearth aspiring young filmmakers and promote the development of local film art. Since then Fresh Wave has become an annual celebration of our new generation cinema, thrusting the best of its works onto the world stage."
